Tracy and Josh engagement and bridals

I'll admit that these are a bit late in making it to the blog. I am finishing up editing the wedding photos, and thought it would be good to share a few photos from the engagement session and the bridal session (since I am so far behind, I am doing a two for). Wedding photography is still fairly new to me, but so far I am enjoying it. Tracy and Josh were so much fun!

I have to give a nod of respect to Tracy and Josh. It was cold during the bridal shoot. They handled the cold extremely well.

The engagement session was done near Saltair. If you are wondering, this photo was their idea, they brought the ball and chain, good fun and laughs!

Hunting Eagles

A few quick snaps from a little drive down in Sanpete. The eagles are out in force this time of year. Such a beautiful bird. I don't do much wildlife photography, shooting mainly people, so it is always fun to do something a bit different. Look at this first guys claws!!!

This bird, wasn't to happy we disturbed him from his perch, warm sunbathing. He flew away with some coaxing, but we hoped he would fly in the right direction (toward the camera, or at least not away). So much for hoping...

One quick hint, shooting in snowy weather can be challenging for a camera to meter. There is so much white with the snow that the exposure can vary dramatically from frame to frame (ussually you end up with shots on the dark side). One quick way to get your exposure pegged, is to meter manually. In this case I set the exposure for the sky.

One more taken through the glass door of my parents back door. These deer are feasting on frozen apples under the apple tree;)

Fashion Revolution

Every New Year we have the ritual of making goals in hopes of self betterment, doing more etc. Like the previous year, I have decided to blog more frequently. In that spirit here is are samples from a shoot done months ago. I ment to blog this but never got around to it.

The photoshoot for Fashion Revolution was done for advertising purposes. Take a moment and check out their website. This new line of clothing is based on a we come to you type of marketing instead of the traditional mall or clothing store. Half the shoot was done in studio, and the other half outdoor. The goal was to get as many outfits as possible in a short amount of time. Quick and dirty shooting, with the aim of decent even light and pushing product through a bit like you would in an assembly factory. Next time I would like to slow it down a bit and get some more interesting results...

The blue jeans include detailed hand stitched beading...
